Some places have less rain, or the rivers are too small. This means they naturally have less water. But, in many places, people are using too much water, more than what is available. This is like eating all the cookies in the jar today and leaving none for tomorrow.
This can be bad for everyone. If there’s not enough water, animals and plants can die. People can get sick. Kids can’t go to school because they have to walk far to get water.
So, what can we do? We can save water. Turn off the tap when you brush your teeth. Fix leaks right away. Don’t waste water in the garden. These small steps can make a big difference.
We can also teach others about water scarcity. Tell your friends and family about it. Ask your school to teach more about it. The more people know, the more they can help.
